Supernatural

I know the English language is pretty silly, but what is up with the word ‘supernatural’. The meaning is attributed to a force beyond scientific understanding… So what makes it not only natural, but apparently ‘super’ natural? Wouldn’t it just translate to ‘really normal’, but then combine them and apparently we have unexplainable ghosts? How does that work?
Moustaches and Man Buns

Moustaches are creepy. Only person who can pull off a moustache is Tom Selleck… Don’t know why, he’s the only one. Please let them go like the ill attempted man bun! It’s like screaming to the world that you’re most likely a pervert or murderer. Why would you want people to think that of you… No one wears their moustaches like Hitler. Does this mean we have to get a monster from history wearing a hairstyle we hate, so you won’t keep attempting them?
I’m testing the theory now…
Keyser Söze

Names in general. Think about how many you see/hear in an average day. There are a lot. Now, I see all these names and sometimes wonder if someone is Keyser Söze-ing them up? Most are so random, that you have to question that either their parents hated them or we’re dealing with a lot of fake people… e.g.
- Richard Inahol
- Hasti Whey
- Jenny Ralised
- Ima Bunyan
Conducting

I don’t understand conductors of orchestra’s, isn’t their job basically what music sheets are for? I know they think they are controling tempo, but again, this is kinda dictated by the music and fellow orchastra members, not the crazy guy waving a magic wand… then he takes a bow at the end, as if it’s his accomplishment? I would get a bit annoyed by a guy angrily waving a stick at me as I’m playing an instrument with literally no help from him. Did he fail to learn how to play instruments, so a musician feeling bad for him, gave him a stick and told him he was making the musicians play?
Fire-Follower Plants
:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/fire-lily-plant-profile-4768477-hero-df73484ca54d4351baa431787d9ad9bf.jpg)

Ok, so the amazing fire-follower plants like Banksias, Fairy Fan flower, and some Eucalyptus species that thrive in the aftermath of a wildfire, often having adaptations to capitalize on the fire’s effects. Seriously they get life from fire. That is amazing. To humans, fire is not a part of our make up, we breath air and are 60% water. Earth we need as an external source for us to walk on, cultivate and live. But fire is mainly for warmth. If we touch it we burn. It is the only element which is a pure danger to us, actually almost all living beings… I mean the other elements can be turned into dangers as well, but fire is the only one that starts as a natural danger to our survival…. These plants have made a dangerous, non-controlled force into a life source (yes, many people say the same about their partners lol). It’s such an abnormality to think about the sheer tenacity it took these lifeforms to evolve to this level. I forgot what my main point was, but this is pretty amazing to think about…
Over-reaction?

I don’t watch the news too often as it really makes me very sad. But, I do sometimes catch some events and I have a question… Why does the Australian police force seem to constantly use overwhelming force whenever dealing with little old ladies? The poor grandmother with her Zimmer frame getting tazered because she was holding a knife (News story here)… then after the Bondi Beach tragedy with the woman ranting and causing a scene at the memorial, which apparently needed around 50 officers to escort her to the station (News story here – video)? I think it could be considered slight overkill? Are little old ladies that much of a threat to armed officers?
Ok just heard a new news story, not about old ladies, this time an overwhelming force used by rangers to remove an inflatable pool for a poor boy with a disability (News Outrage After Disabled Child Forced From Inflatable Pool At Aussie Beach).
So now Australian “Authorities” are not only using overwhelming force on old women but also disabled children. Can we see a slight problem with their inability to judge what a threat level is or use common sense/their own sense of decency?
Feet vs Hands

I would love to have monkey feet. I think they would be much more useful, plus instead of boring walking I could climb! But I often wonder if hand feet are similar to how you can be left handed, right handed or ambidextrous? Would your hand feet do the same as your arm hands? What if it worked in opposite like your right arm hand grew to be the dominant one, but because your legs now are also needing to do things the left side developed as the dominant one so it didn’t interfere with the right arm?
I think these are the questions we should have asked the sign language talking Gorilla Koko.
Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech is meant to be a supported right, yet, in Australia freedom of speech is only for politicians? The rest of us will get censored and if reporting on something, guess what, half the newspaper is actually filled with retractions! Now, while I don’t really see a hindrance to myself, when I look at what some of the politicians say… well shouldn’t it also require some kind of intelligence test before they are allowed their apparent special freedom of speech?
Refreshed…

I do know I’m going on a lot about words in the English language, but I have my points. Now, I was feeling overly cool by the air-conditioning. I wondered if instead of taking a quick dip in the pool to become refreshed… Could I go out into the humidity for a quick “refresh”? The answer is no. It doesn’t work that way. You apparently can’t feel refreshed from hot. But yet you can say you feel refreshed from a shower or sauna. As long as you don’t mention heat, the word is plausible…. The French give inanimate objects genders and the English give words temperatures…
Fringes/Bangs

Bangs, fringes, the cursed hairstyle that every female has had inflicted on them at some stage as a child. Now a fringe does suit a very small faction of women, but it is generally very obvious when it doesn’t. I don’t know why, maybe mothers have a need to pay us back for keeping them awake when we were babies, but they will always choose this haircut at some point. I couldn’t remember having a fringe until I flicked through an old photo album and found one. I can’t pinpoint the exact timeframe or what I might have done to aggravate my mother, but it was around 12 years old when she snapped and gave me a fringe. Boys often get the snap of temper far sooner and suffer bowl cuts. I personally haven’t seen a fringe for myself in photos since.
Beer

I love beer and most people get confused when I’m at the pub or restaurant and everyone orders wine and I say “A pint for me, thanks.” If they stare at me for too long. I just shrug and say I’m from northern Europe and this satisfies their shocked expressions. But the weird thing is that depending on the beer type you can sometimes choose between bottle or can. I prefer bottles, but they’ve actually been cheating their consumers as they decreased from 355ml to 330ml. The cans are still 375ml. But they’re charging you more for the bottle beer when they’ve essentially taken around 1 and a half away from a carton. Because they are taking 25ml (0.02l) per bottle (24) which is 0.60l that they have taken away almost 2 bottles of beer which are missing from the carton. Well I felt betrayed, now buying the cans and having to drink them from a glass, as I refuse to be called a bogan. But with the cans, the beer tastes a little flat and I have to be careful carrying it around, as I’m horribly clumsy. Sorry, this seems to be a rant rather than ponder… But it needed to be said.
Horror Movie Bad Guy… Really?
What is up with horror movie villains all being the most innocent thing people can think of? Think of it, it’s always something sweet which they turn into monsters… exception is slasher genre, the rest relies upon unnormal scare types!
BTW – These are the first ten of my memory, so forgive me if I forgot your favorite. Happy to change, just write a comment.

Toys – When we were little the only trust we had is in our toys and games. Well obviously to turn those beautiful dolls into terrifying supernatural objects is a normal thing. Weird how normal objects get creepy from suggestion lol.

Children – I know we all think of children as monsters at some stage, but these perhaps take the metaphor a bit far?
| Children’s toys | Children | Mothers | Old people | Disney Characters |
| Boy Doll – Chucky doll (based on real toy), also see The Boy | The Ring | 825 Forest road | Old | Screamboat |
| Girl Doll – Annabelle (based on the real raggedy Anne) | Children of the Corn | Friday the 13th #1 | The Visit | Bambi: The Reckoning |
| Puppets – Puppet Master and Dead Silence | Twin girls in the Shinning | Scream 2 | The Home | Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey |
| Teddy Bear – Imaginary | The Omen | Mommie Dearest | The Taking of Deborah Logan | The Ugly Stepsister |
| Monkey toy – The Monkey | Case 39 | Stopmotion | Midsommer | Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare |
| Doll House – Amityville horror Dollhouse | The Exorcist | Carrie | Get Out | Pinocchio: Unstrung |
| Demonic Toys | The Grudge | Psycho | X | Return to Oz |
| The Jack In The Box | The Good Son | Run | Relic | The Mouse Trap |
| M3gan | Joshua | Mama | The Manor | The Mean One |
Mummy – Ok, this one generally stems from bad childhoods. But the horror versions seem a bit of overkill to the general point they are making maybe? e.g. Mommie Dearest
Old People – Same as horror parents come from the same source but generations apart. I don’t think grampa is going to suddenly get superhuman strength and throw you against the wall, sweetie.

DIsney Movies – Ok, this one is going to be a rant. These are mediochre efforts, don’t really care for them. Wish I could find it funny, but it’s just sad. I honestly don’t care about the bad horror movies, but the actual movies when Disney actully tries to take the side of a Villian??? Then I have a problem. This has happened way too often:
- Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty),
- Ursula (The Little Mermaid),
- Scar (The Lion King), and
- Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians)
The last one is the most upsetting. I do not know what sick people thought that killing puppies was alright!?! But that is the epitome of evil! No ability to come back from that! She killed puppies!
I can understand Malificent, Ursula and Scar having narcessistic tendancies or just pride causing them to lash out. They did not kill puppies. To kill innocents you need to have a psychoathic brain. So, Cruella and any way to empathise with her is the same… If you thought it was Ok, please remove yourself from society, because you are likely to kill someone at some stage. Remove the kids who thought it was funny to kill puppies as well…. first stages of being a psycho are evident. Run!!!!!
