Freddy Fazbear

Description
Versions
Games Appearing In
The original Freddy is a brown, felt-covered animatronic bear and the main mascot. He is possessed by Gabriel.
He is also shown to be the most intelligent and stealthy of the Classic’s, as he knows exactly where each security camera is, and moves in the shadows to avoid being easily spotted. He swiftly makes his way towards the night guard, purposefully stalks them, and is capable of quickly slipping through the door without the guard noticing.
Despite his somewhat well-spoken and complex, almost grandfather-like way of speaking, Freddy is shown to have a childlike sense of mischief and sadism, which may also be alluding towards the fact that he’s possessed by a little boy.

Toy Freddy is the safer, redesigned mascot of the 1987 pizzeria snaplock version. The Toy versions are considered to be possessed by new victims of Afton. Toy Freddy’s personality, as suggested in his quotes from Ultimate Custom Night, appears to be pouty, wisecracking, and childish, as he will get upset by his own failure to beat video games, especially the “Five Nights with Mr. Hugs” game.

Funtime Freddy is an effeminate and energetic animatronic bear who enjoys entertaining children, but secretly is a psychotic, deranged, and sadistic animatronic, laughing with glee as he attempts to kill his victims and takes delight in the tormenting of them. He speaks in a raspy, bloodthirsty voice with a crazed, hysterical tone. He also has an echo in his voice like a stereotypical robot, and also glitches since he is broken.

In the teasers leading up to the book’s release, Twisted Freddy is depicted as a large brown bear animatronic with numerous sets of teeth. He has a gaping opening in his belly, with numerous sets of teeth inside, similar to the teeth on the stomachs of Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare. He also has numerous boils on the right side of his head, along with his ears and left eye socket.

Bonnie

Bonnie is revealed to have a stoic personality; he’s laidback, chill, and carefree, with rarely any emotion on his face other than relaxed, even in intense situations like when him and his friends were being chased by Foxy.
Bonnie is portrayed to have a personality based on a rock musician; boastful, prideful, with the speech pattern of a laid back hippie stereotype.
During the night, Bonnie becomes a sadistic and vengeful killer, murdering any adults at the pizzeria at night to gain his vengeance against his killer. He is by far the most active animatronic, usually being the first one to leave the stage, showing an eagerness to kill.
Originally possessed by a child called Jeremy.

Phantom Bonnie is a prominent, non-canon fan-made character and urban legend in the Five Nights at Freddy’s community, often depicted as a green-toned, withered, or burnt version of Bonnie. Though originating from early FNaF 3 hoaxes around 2015 when Bonnie didn’t get a Phantom character in FNAF 3. Many think Springtrap is the Bonnie phantom version.

Funtime Bonnie is not an official, canon character in the Five Nights at Freddy’s game series. According to an employee log, many kids asked where Bonnie was, leading the Pizzaplex staff to remove references to Bonnie from the location. Despite this, kids were still asking about Bonnie, so the staff had been considering re-theming his bowling alley. In a security report log, it is stated that Bonnie was last seen entering the Gator Golf course.

Chica

Based on the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Theme Song, Chica is a pushy, gluttonous but lovable singing animatronic bot who has love for food, especially pizza. The Pizza Party level in Night Terrors also demonstrates this by actively eating pizza from a room that appears to be the kitchen, and, in the first game, one can hear clanging sounds emanating from the kitchen. During both occasions, she was distracted from her goal of killing the player, implying that her gluttony can distract her at times. According to HandUnit’s instructions in “Parts and Service: Chica”, she still maintains her gluttonous tendencies, as she is covered in pizza

She also seems to be curiously aware that not only is her beak missing, but also that it is lodged within the protagonist’s cranium. Her lines in Special Delivery suggest that she is also a bit sardonic when tormenting her victims, but also impatient. She feels no remorse for her actions and instead pleasurably savors them.

Speaking with a thick Mississippi accent. She exhibits wisecracking tendencies. She is very boisterous, more than a bit sardonic, and enjoys trying to attack the player character. In comparison to her Rockstar associates, save for Lefty, she’s the only Rockstar animatronic to be actively hostile towards the player, rather than being demanding. Rockstar Chica is also shown to have basiphobia, which is the fear of falling. This is evidenced by the fact that whenever she sees a wet floor sign in the way, she will immediately depart.

Glamrock Chica is shown to be deceptive, giving Gregory false promises of seeing his parents, offering candy, or trying to comfort him to seem friendly, all in attempts to make him give out his location. These lines do, however, seem to be pre-recorded for the purposes of ensuring child safety during the Pizzaplex’s opening hours. According to Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Chica has an obsession with food, specifically pizza, a prominent trait shared across many Chica animatronics. Due to this obsession, she also has a bad habit of eating out of various garbage cans in the Pizzaplex.

Foxy

Foxy is a discontinued animatronic pirate fox entertainer. He resides at his own separate stage in the pizzeria. Undisclosed to Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. and the public, Foxy is possessed by the restless spirit of Fritz – a little boy murdered by William Afton. Due to this, he and the others are now seeking revenge against their killer by attacking any adults in the pizzeria after-hours in blind rage.
As the title of Foxy’s attraction would imply, Foxy’s personality is that of a stereotypical pirate, often speaking in pirate slang, all with a pirate accent. One of his lines also suggests he might be claustrophobic. According to a game over screen in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted, Foxy is perceptive, and not easily deceived. Based on Freddy Fazbear’s description of Foxy in the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Theme Song, he is implied to be reclusive, based on the fact that Freddy Fazbear sings about Foxy rather than Foxy singing himself, which only helps prove this.

Mangle, is a major antagonist and one of the Toy animatronics of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. They’re Foxy’s redesigned counterpart from the past and an improved replacement (despite being heavily damaged) of Foxy’s pre-rebuilt incarnation Withered Foxy, serving as the building toy of the newly refurbished Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza of 1987.
Revealed in Ultimate Custom Night, Mangle is shown to be aware of the fact that they are in severe disrepair. Their voice uses several different pitches (both masculine and feminine) at once while also sounding somewhat distorted. Scott Cawthon describes Mangle’s voice as being almost indiscernible (playing into the running gag of Mangle’s gender being ambiguous).

Funtime Foxy, also known as F. Foxy, is a Funtime animatronic and major antagonist who first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. They are a circus-themed version of Foxy the Pirate. They are also one of the entertainers from the Funtime Auditorium, which is located from the east of Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental, the others being Funtime Freddy and Bon-Bon (despite them never appearing there).
Funtime Foxy’s personality is self-contradictory. Their behavior in-game shows Funtime Foxy as a silent, introverted animatronic who prefers to remain alone unlike the other animatronics from Sister Location. Their lines in Ultimate Custom Night show that Funtime Foxy has a larger than life persona onstage, being the circus ringmaster. Roxanne Wolf, also known as Roxy, is a glamrock animatronic who appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach as a major antagonist and the RUIN DLC as a deuteragonist. She is the self-centered keytar player of the glamrock band who gets run over by Driver Assist Bot and her eyes removed for Glamrock Freddy. She also has an important connection to the protagonist of RUIN, Cassie, who she saves near the end of the game.
In Security Breach, Roxanne Wolf is self-centered, shown by her repeatedly complimenting herself in the mirror and furiously asking Gregory if he thinks himself better than her. Furthermore Roxanne is shown to be cruel and sadistic; being both emotionally, and physically abusive. This is seen where she notably taunts and insults Gregory by saying he has no friends and that no one will miss him, while calling him a little coward for not standing up to her when she hunts him.
Glamrock Roxy

However, she expresses low self-esteem issues, as at one point she can be seen calling herself a failure while looking in the mirror. Roxy speaks to herself often, showing great care about her appearance. Her pride causes her to hide her vulnerabilities, as when Glamrock Freddy enters her room while she is crying, she angrily tells him to get out of her room. When she is damaged following Gregory’s drive at Roxy Raceway, she begins to patrol while in despair; sobbing and lamenting her mangled state.
Security Breach (2021) (Antagonist)

By RUIN, Roxanne’s low self-esteem remains, being much more evident than before. Roxy is shown to be vindictive and bears a grudge against Gregory for taking her eyes. However, when she is in safe mode near the end of RUIN, she’s generally kind and caring, especially towards the protagonist of RUIN, Cassie, as she becomes docile and remorseful upon being freed of her corruption after hearing Cassie’s voices. Later on, She greets her with a warm welcome when Cassie is tasked with deactivating her, as she reminisces of how she remembered the details and date of her birthday along with her favorite type of cake, while hesitating when Cassie was about to install the Faz-Wrench into one of her eye sockets. Furthermore, Roxy becomes fiercely protective, going as far as to follow and save Cassie from The Mimic.

Monty

Monty is an alligator Springlock animatronic in Murray’s Costume Manor. He first appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic as an empty springlock suit that Arnold can climb in, being the first known animatronic version of Montgomery Gator.
Monty was built for the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, but was scrapped before opening for some unknown reason. He can be found in the Research & Development room, and was used by Arnold to hide from and survive The Mimic.
Springlock Monty

Secret of the Mimic (2025) (Costume)
Montgomery Gator, also known as Monty, is a glamrock animatronic who appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach and RUIN as a major antagonist. He is the bassist of the Glamrock band, having replaced Glamrock Bonnie, before getting dropped from the catwalks above his attraction by Gregory and having his claws removed for Glamrock Freddy.
Monty has a typical personality relating to the stereotype of a rockstar, being seen from trashing his room, and his ‘rocking’ personality. He also seems to like to smash and destroy things, shown in his boss fight. He seems to enjoy breaking doors, as some of the doors in the Pizzaplex have signs with a Monty symbol crossed out to discourage him from entering, which has little effect.
It is commonly theorized that Montgomery Gator deliberately destroyed Glamrock Bonnie so that he could replace him and become part of the main show with the other Glamrock animatronics.
Glamrock Montgomery

This comes from the Gator Golf arcade minigame, where Glamrock Freddy is seen stashed into a dumpster while Monty, Chica, and Roxy take the stage overlooking said dumpster. Glamrock Bonnie’s design in the RUIN DLC includes green paint on his chest similar to Monty’s color. There are also maintenance logs that speak of Bonnie’s disappearance and his last sighting having been security footage of him entering Monty’s Gator Golf.

Mr. Cupcake, also simply known as the Cupcake, is an anthropomorphic cupcake classic animatronic who is usually accompanied by Chica. He has pink-frosting with two large yellow eyes, a yellow-striped birthday candle with a vinyl candle-light, buck teeth, no wrapper, and black eyelids. As the very first introduced cupcake animatronic of the series, Mr. Cupcake appears in all games except for the fourth game, Sister Location, and Pizzeria Simulator.

Circus Baby

Circus Baby (commonly referred to as Baby) is a Funtime animatronic and the main mascot of Circus Baby’s Pizza World invented by Afton Robotics, LLC, made for Fazbear Entertainment, Inc.
Baby is haunted by the soul of Elizabeth Afton, who was the daughter of the serial killer William Afton. However, during the completion ending, Elizabeth’s soul was presumably set free.

Circus Baby is a tragic, sophisticated yet sinister animatronic. The Circus Baby minigame shows that Baby killed William Afton’s daughter, Elizabeth, due to Baby and the other Funtime animatronics being built to murder children.
Baby mainly speaks in a soft, calm voice that almost never raises above a sort of hushed tone. She speaks about children in a very happy manner and claims to have enjoyed entertaining them and making them happy, but she seems to be very distraught, confused, and sorrowful due to her situation and hates being trapped in the rental facility and is even deeply traumatized and haunted by her mysterious and dark past. She also often talks about childish things that have little bearings on the current situation like ice cream, birthday cakes, other children, and even playing pretend. This shows that she maintains her childlike mentality that she had as a human; this is especially evident during Night 4 where she compares the scooper to an actual ice cream scooper used at birthday parties.
However Baby is soon revealed to be just like her twisted “father” William. She is manipulative and cunning as she masterminded almost all the events in Sister Location and even acts theatrical as she says one of her tactics to play pretend and act in a certain way to get what she wants and to manipulate people. She was also shown to be very abusive towards her only friends as it’s implied she either manipulated or outright forced the other animatronics to take part in her diabolical plan to fuse their parts to become the animatronic amalgamation and hive mind known as Ennard, to escape the facility. Even after accomplishing her goals she was still shown to be a control freak, and while being part of Ennard she seemingly forced the other animatronics within the amalgamation to abide under her leadership. This subsequently led them to betray and eject her from Ennard.
It’s implied that the reason for Baby’s twisted and controlling behavior is because of the time she spent in the underground facility; as being isolated and tortured may have drove Baby beyond the point of insanity and caused her to be emotionally and mentally unstable, although it is hinted she only fully shows this side of herself and raises her voice whenever pushed over the edge.
Scrap Baby

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator (2017) (Antagonist)
Ultimate Custom Night (2018) (Antagonist)
Help Wanted 2 (2023) (Antagonist)
Baby was also shown to be extremely resilient as even after being ejected from Ennard she was able to rebuild herself out of mere pieces of scrap. Unfortunately her mental state worsened as she became more violent, sadistic and aggressive, accepting her role as a killer, and expresses thrill at the prospect of murder and quote – “doing what I was created to do”.
Ultimately, when it was time for her plan to reach its final stage, she attempted to comfort Michael before she was forced to kill him with the scooper, reassuring him and saying that “it would only hurt for a moment”. Afterwards, when using Michael’s skin as a suit to hide and blend in with, when Michael’s corpse ultimately decayed and she was forced to abandon it, Baby reassuringly said “You won’t die.”
It’s possible she knew he would survive all along and never wanted to truly kill Michael, although her views towards her brother changed in Pizzeria Simulator as she actively tried to murder him.
Despite Baby’s insanity there are a few people she truly cared about, the first being her “brother” Michael Afton although she was mainly manipulating him throughout the game. Her dialogue toward him sounded surprisingly sincere and it’s implied that she truly cared about Michael’s well-being as demonstrated during Night 3, when she rescued him off-screen from Funtime Foxy, albeit in an unethical and odd manner by kidnapping him.
She also seems to have a deep admiration and love for her father and creator William, as she vowed to follow in his footsteps and make him proud, and even affectionately calling him “Daddy”.

Ennard is the twisted Amalgamation of the Funtime animatronics. He first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location as the final antagonist.

Golden Freddy

Golden Freddy, previously known by the filename, Yellowbear, is a mysterious and ghost-like entity who takes on the form of a yellow animatronic bear. He plays a prominent role in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, although his origins are cryptic and unknown.
Undisclosed to Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. and to the public, Golden Freddy, along with the four original animatronics are possessed by children murdered by a man named William Afton. Due to this, he and the others are now seeking revenge against their killer by attacking any adults in the pizzeria after-hours in blind rage. Despite the good ending presumably showing his soul to be set free, it’s speculated that his spirit refuses.

The Mimic

M1 displays numerous contrasting personality types throughout the story. Arnold is first introduced to M1 not long after arriving at the MCM location when she hijacks his communications with the Fazbear dispatcher and begins to mimic his voice. She picks up his speech pattern and sarcastic wit extremely quickly. Despite the occasional error, Arnold falls entirely for her deception and follows her instructions for him to upgrade the Data Diver.
M1

Secret of the Mimic (2025) (Antagonist)
During the Clock Out ending, she allows Arnold to leave as the dispatcher after he hands over the Data Diver, although she shows little care for Arnold’s safety, given that M2 was hiding in his van (a fact that she was likely aware of). It is currently unknown why M1 risks allowing M2 to escape during the Clock Out ending as her goal is to keep M2 contained. During the true ending, Arnold learns of M1’s deception, and upon disobeying her instructions to surrender the Data Diver to her, M1’s personality drastically shifts from friendly and helpful to nasty and scathing. She also repeatedly mentions how M2 will likely kill him and stuff him in a suit like the other Fazbear Entertainment employees before him. She continues to question Arnold’s motives whilst using the dispatcher voice, only switching back to her “normal” voice when Arnold reaches the security office containing her main system. When returning to her “normal” voice, she displays a flat demeanor and speaks plainly to Arnold about her goal, stating that she still loves Edwin. In various audio recordings, logs, and in her dialogue during the Unfinished Business and Story Time endings, she seems desperate for M2 to be repaired since she believes that a version of David can be recovered from it. It should also be noted that M1 truly believes Edwin to still be alive and living in the Murray household. However, no evidence of this being the case is found throughout the game.
From the home videos recorded by Edwin, M1 is shown to have originally occupied the Mimic endoskeleton nicknamed M1. In this form she seemed very kind and compassionate, attentively and lovingly caring for David when Edwin was busy and even baking him a cake for his birthday (notably differing from a cake made by the real Fiona). As M1 she seemed to lack the ability to question the actions of Edwin, despite Fiona’s criticism of his attitude towards David. It is uncertain if this is intended to demonstrate that M1 is an “imperfect version” of Fiona or if this was an intended aspect of M1’s design created by Edwin himself. Interestingly, this restraint disappears when she is transferred to the M.X.E.S. machine and becomes F10-N4.
The Mimic, also referred to as M2, is the main antagonist of the Steel Wool era of Five Nights at Freddy’s video games. Mimic first debuts as the main antagonist in the RUIN DLC for Security Breach, and as the titular main antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic.

The Puppet/Marionette

The Puppet, also referred to as Marionette, is a Toy animatronic puppet, a major antagonist and one of the main characters in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. He first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, but minigames from the second game and afterwards show the Puppet’s tragic and heroic side. He possibly serves as the prize vendor of the newly refurbished Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza of 1987, although it’s implied that it was originally from the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza prior to the one opened in 1987.
The Puppet was haunted by Charlotte Emily, who was killed by William Afton.

During the completion ending, the Puppet’s soul was presumably set free.

They made their debut in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3.
Spring Bonnie is most notable for being one of the few animatronic suit hybrids, known as Springlock suits – as well as the main persona William Afton used to lure children during his killing sprees. Daycare Attendant (Sun/Moon)
The Daycare Attendant, otherwise known in-game as Sun and Moon is one of the pizzaplex animatronics and a daycare attendant that appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach as a recurring antagonist in its Moon form. It returns in the DLC RUIN where it is rebooted by Cassie into becoming a complete mix between Sun and Moon named Eclipse. It also returns in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 as both Sun, Moon, and their ruined variants.
As Sun, the Daycare Attendant is upbeat and energetic, similar to Funtime Freddy. He enjoys doing activities with children such as putting on puppet shows and drinking Fizzy Faz. When Gregory knocks down the cans as a way to distract him, Sun panics quickly and rushes to clean them up. He’s also very serious about keeping the lights on as a way to prevent himself from transforming into Moon. This could be due to Sun being concerned for Gregory, or it could be him showing fear of his alternate side and not wanting to transform.
Sun

As Moon, the Daycare Attendant is a malevolent and aggressive enemy who constantly chases Gregory once the lights are turned off, and attempts to punish him for staying up “past his bedtime”. He still has a great distaste for messes and feels responsible for cleaning them like his daytime counterpart does, but to a more demented degree. This shows how strict both Sun and Moon are with upholding rules. However, in the later hours, Moon will not actively chase and attack, but will stalk the player, dancing and performing acrobatic tricks until the player lingers too closely to him or the power is not restored at the time limit. This implies that he enjoys taunting and psychologically abusing his victims before attacking them

Cassie
Cassie seems to always be on edge and asks a lot of questions about what is happening to her environment, especially when using the V.A.N.N.I./Security Mask. She is caring, as she shows major concern for the well-being of “Gregory” and even goes as far as entering the now-abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex to “save him”. This may be due to Gregory comforting her after they met for the first time at her birthday party, which none of her invited guests showed up to. They ended up becoming friends.

Ruin (2023) (Protagonist)
Cassie seems to have developed an emotional bond with Roxanne Wolf, who made Cassie’s birthday party “special” when her friends didn’t come to celebrate. This is evident by how Cassie was hesitant to deactivate Roxy in order to breach the final security node. After she does deactivate her and breaches the node, she repeatedly apologizes for what she had done to Roxy and even starts crying as she ventures deeper into the sinkhole.
It’s implied that the nine missing kids shown on the newspaper in the Bad Ending of Security Breach, might have been the kids that were invited to Cassie’s birthday and were killed by Vanny and therefore couldn’t attend her party.
Cassie’s reaction to some of the more retro Freddy’s collectables in RUIN, specifically the Bonnie mask, has led people to theorize that Cassie’s father was the Bonnie-masked bully from Five Nights at Freddy’s 4. The presence of the mask in Help Wanted 2 has added to this theory by implying that the player character is also Cassie’s father as well.
Charlotte Emily
Charlotte “Charlie” Emily was the daughter of Henry Emily, who was murdered by William Afton after she was locked out of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, possibly turning her into Afton’s first victim. Shortly after she was murdered, the Puppet found her body and, due to the rain, deactivated next to her, which allowed Charlie to possess it.

Edwin Murray worked as an engineer in Murray’s Costume Manor, owned by his father. While working for a project, he met Fiona and asked her if he could use her voice.

Secret of the Mimic (2025) (Reference and voice)
After a while the two got together and then got married. When Edwin’s father died of old age, Edwin inherited his company and the building. Edwin, however, wasn’t sure if he was worthy enough to continue his father’s legacy, but he had an idea to make his creations real. Murray’s Costume Manor became something bigger, with many companies, such as Fazbear Entertainment, commissioning him different projects, mainly animatronic characters. Some of his creations include a variant of Chica the Chicken for Chica’s Party World and different versions of Foxy the Pirate, both of which were mostly designed by Fiona. Edwin coined the term “recycling” and the factory had the world’s first recycling center. At some point, Edwin and Fiona had a son; David Murray. Edwin was so obsessed with his work that sometimes didn’t want to celebrate David’s birthdays with them. Before David’s third birthday, Fiona goes to Fall Fest and dies, leaving Edwin alone with David.
Due to his loss and not having time to take care of David, Edwin decided to create an animatronic called Mimic1 which could learn and mimic human behavior. David was scared of the endoskeleton due to its creepy appearance, but Edwin assured him that it could become any character. M1 started to mimic Fiona to the point it actually thought it was the real Fiona, acting like David’s new mother figure.
Some time before David’s fifth birthday, David tragically dies, getting hit by a car while M1 was supposed to take care of him. Edwin was desperate, but M1 convinced him to create another Mimic so it could act like David. While he thought it was a good idea at first, Edwin couldn’t take it anymore and got angry at M1, saying that it’s not the real Fiona. M1’s program was then put in a machine called F10-N4 and the endoskeleton was used for Mimic2.
At some point, Fazbear Entertainment commissioned the “Fazbear Project” which consisted of creating the new animatronic band for their new upcoming pizzeria; Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. However, the owners of the company, Henry Emily and William Afton, started changing ideas last minute to the point that there was not enough budget to finish it. They didn’t want them to be springlock suits anymore, despite Edwin making new and arguably safer versions of springlock suits despite water damage to some of them. William and some other higher-ups even wanted to change Fiona’s designs into a second lineup of drafts supposedly made by Henry that Edwin considered ugly, which would seem to become the ones used in the pizzeria.
All of this appeared to be caused by William, who started to secretly sabotage Edwin’s company by using his friendship and communication with Henry, as shown through multiple e-mails and audio logs. It went as far as Afton convincing an employee to get info on Edwin’s projects, who then proceeded to convince other employees to join Fazbear Entertainment. Thanks to the spy, Afton and Fazbear Entertainment found out about the Mimic Project and wanted it at all costs. In the end, Fazbear Entertainment acquired the land and his house, and William Afton offered Edwin the role of lead engineer.
During a rage-induced mental breakdown, when M2 started mimicking David, Edwin attempted to violently destroy M2, in turn, infusing it with his agony, pouring his murderous thoughts and emotions into M2’s systems, causing it to perpetually mimic Edwin’s worst traits and develop a self-aware concept of cruelty. M2 caused an explosive accident in Edwin’s home office, it began to copy his voice and repeatedly mocked Edwin’s helplessness while forcing him to reflect on his neglectful behavior, revealing its grudge towards its creator. It makes fun of Edwin even further by talking about the new legs it built for its body. M2 then began killing every employee sent by Fazbear Entertainment trying to get the Mimic Project, while F10-N4 made sure M2 stayed contained and prevented anyone from letting it escape or get its hands on the information of its creation.
It’s currently unknown if Edwin survived, got old, and worked at the Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, like his counterpart did in Tales from the Pizzaplex, but currently he is completely missing.
Elizabeth Afton
Elizabeth Afton is a minor character and was the daughter of William Afton and the sister of Michael Afton, who trusted her father and held a deep fascination with his creations, especially Circus Baby, until the machine captured and killed her, which allowed Elizabeth to possess it.
Elizabeth Afton was a sweet, polite, shy, meek, and innocent little girl. Prior to her death, she had an apparent fascination with the animatronics, most notably Circus Baby.

Sister Location (2016) (Voice)
She has a child-like mentality, marveling at Circus Baby’s ability to make ice cream and balloons, repeatedly asking her father to let her see Circus Baby, via using the excuse that the machine was seemingly made in her honor. Elizabeth is also shown to be disobedient in order to receive what she wants, as she disregarded her father’s commands and went close to Baby without his knowledge. Elizabeth’s interaction with Circus Baby seems to show that Elizabeth was shy and lonely, with a high sense of humility and gratitude, which resulted in her death, and the cancellation of the grand opening for Circus Baby’s Pizza World.
It’s implied, via Circus Baby’s and Scrap Baby’s voice lines, that Elizabeth had died on her birthday.
Fiona Murray
Fiona Murray is a character in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic. She was Edwin’s wife and business partner who created the designs for numerous animatronics.
Fiona was a puppeteer who worked at Murray’s Costume Manor in the 70s.

Secret of the Mimic (2025) (Reference and voice)
At some point she met Edwin Murray, the son of the owner, when he asked her if he could use her voice for a project. After some time, the two got together and then got married. Fiona became the co-owner of Murray Co. when Edwin’s father died, becoming also the designer of most of the animatronic characters and mascot suits. She also assured Edwin that he was indeed able to manage his father’s company.
Fiona and Edwin had a son, David Murray. Fiona however was disappointed that Edwin sometime skipped some of David’s birthdays due to being obsessed with his work.
At some point before David’s third birthday, Fiona went to help the Fall Fest team and tragically died, leaving Edwin alone with David. Due to his loss and not having time to take care of his son, Edwin created an animatronic called Mimic1 for David. For unexplained and unexpected reasons, Mimic1 started to mimic and act like the real Fiona.
Fritz
Fritz is one of the five children murdered by William Afton in the Five Nights at Freddy’s Missing Children’s Incident, whose spirit possesses the animatronic Foxy the Pirate Fox. He is often depicted as a troublemaker or a quiet, freckled boy who was lured into a back room and had his body hidden inside the Foxy animatronic at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

Gregory
Gregory is the young, resourceful protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, who becomes trapped in the Mega Pizzaplex and teams up with Glamrock Freddy to survive. While initially appearing as a scared child, he is a pragmatic survivor, hacker (GGY/Patient 46), and former victim of Glitchtrap.
According to the therapists, Gregory is an introverted boy. He hates bright lights and prefers dark spaces, he dislikes flowers, he has a “little rebellious” side but isn’t a troublemaker. He is unusually good at computing and hacking, likes candy, talks to himself, likes watching sports but not playing them, likes masks and disguises, and finds the idea of the therapist having a “time-out” funny. He is also very quiet, never being heard speaking during the recordings, though is mentioned to have described himself as “sad and scared” to one of them off screen.

Henry Emily
Henry Emily was the father of Charlotte Emily, and the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment, Inc.. Henry had helped create the company with his best friend and business partner, William Afton, who was also the owner and founder of his own company, Afton Robotics, LLC. William and Henry opened their first location, Fredbear’s Family Diner, a local family restaurant that had two mascots, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, whom Henry created. They were both Springlock Suits, special hybrid suits that could switch from wearable costumes to animatronic entertainers.

Sometime during a period of the 1970s, during the expansion and growth of Fazbear Entertainment into a fully fledged parent company, Edwin Murray entered a partnership as a contractor for the corporation to expand upon their projects and property, appearing to have primary contact with Henry in his various audio diaries, suggesting that the two were close friends prior to the partnership going into effect. During this time, William Afton had been undergoing shady dealings, poaching both property and person alike from Edwin’s company, saddling his factory with many projects to bog him down, even through the times where Henry and Edwin seemed to remain in contact. It’s never stated what Henry’s involvement in the company’s or William’s dealings were, but it appears that he was being used and lied to by William to a somewhat lesser degree than Edwin was. Ultimately, Edwin disappeared and William repossessed much of his company’s property in an e-mail, and Fazbear Entertainment continued to grow while Murray’s Costume Manor died off.
In 1983, Henry and William expanded their company by completing the construction of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Henry built its four main animatronics, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, who had been previously drafted and elaborated upon by Fiona and Edwin in the 1970s at the behest of Fazbear Entertainment. That same year, tragedy struck Henry when his daughter Charlie was killed outside of one of his establishments by his own friend, William. Things would only spiral further from here, as a little boy died in an accident where his head was crushed by Fredbear’s operating mouth. Due to this tragic incident, Fredbear’s Family Diner was closed.
In 1985, two years after Fredbear’s closure, William continued to cause trouble for Henry by murdering five children at Freddy’s, causing them to haunt the four animatronics, as well as the mysterious fifth Golden Freddy. Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza was later closed.
Decades passed, and Henry was unable to move on from his daughter’s death. He eventually realized that the man who murdered Charlie and several other children was none other than William, and deeply regretted that, had he known about it much sooner, he could have stopped it all. He also learned that the animatronics were haunted by William’s victims, and his daughter haunted the animatronic he created to protect her, The Puppet. Out of immense regret and grief, Henry considered committing suicide, but he couldn’t allow himself to rest until he killed William and avenged his victims to stop the madman once and for all. He concocted a plan to trap the remaining four animatronics: Scrap Baby; Molten Freddy; William, who was permanently trapped inside the Spring Bonnie suit due to a springlock failure; and the Puppet, whom he trapped inside his creation made to capture it, Lefty. He got a job as a cassette tape instructor and taught a Fazbear Entertainment franchisee who bought out Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place how to salvage the remaining animatronics under their legal obligations of paragraph four.
In the Completion Ending, after the work week ends, he interrupts Scrap Baby’s monologue. He reveals that Baby is haunted by William’s own daughter, Elizabeth, who was killed by Baby long ago. He addresses the franchisee, speaking of how there was a way out for him, but that he knows that he would rather die with the rest of the animatronics. He pleads with the souls in the animatronics to pass on, along with some harsh words for his old friend William, telling him that the darkest pit of hell is waiting for him. Finally, he speaks to his daughter inside Lefty one last time, apologizing for not being able to save her on the day she died, and tells her that this time he will succeed in saving her by giving her the chance to pass on. As Henry speaks, he sets the building on fire, destroying the animatronics, William, the franchise, and himself, in an attempt to end the decades of despair and sadness that began in 1983 and giving Henry and Charlie their well deserved rest and peace.

Jeremy Fitzgerald
Jeremy Fitzgerald is the primary protagonist and playable night security guard in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, working the midnight-to-6 AM shift from November 8th to November 13th, 1987. He works six nights before being moved to the day shift, where he is heavily theorized to be the victim of the “Bite of ’87”.

Michael Afton
Michael Afton (also nicknamed as “Eggs Benedict” by the HandUnit) is the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. He is also the eldest son of Fazbear Entertainment’s co-founder and serial killer William Afton, and the older brother of Elizabeth Afton.

During his adulthood in Sister Location, Michael is shown to have matured greatly and changed as a person, an example being when he returned to his job at Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental every night of the week despite the danger, which HandUnit mentions, implying that he is extremely brave. This is further shown in the non-canonical Fake Ending, when Ennard breaks into his house. In spite of that, he continued to eat his popcorn, unfazed by this revelation. He also seems to have a cultured taste in entertainment, as he enjoys watching soap operas and dramas on television, such as “The Immortal and Restless”, as he spent nearly every night watching the program and even made popcorn for the event. He is shown to be a friendly and popular person, as all of his neighbors happily wave to him in the end-of-night minigames.
In the Survival Logbook, Michael is shown to be sarcastic, making various comments about Fazbear Entertainment’s lack of safety or care for its employees. The book also shows that Michael is paranoid while on the job, suggesting he sleeps with one eye open during his night shifts. When asked why he wanted the job on page six, he states it’s for the free pizza, implying that his reasons for working are fairly simple. He also seems to enjoy snacking on food, which is shown later on in the book, where he expresses that eating increases his happiness. When asked what he would like for his end of the week bonus, he circles the money basket with emphasis, meaning that like anyone else, he would’ve rather had a basket of cash than any other meaningless prize basket, showing that Michael has his priorities straight and is a responsible person. However, in the Fake Ending of Sister Location, he chooses to accept the Exotic Butters basket in spite of its uselessness, showing that Michael is a grateful person and can be content with what is given to him, even when he doesn’t get what he wants.
There are multiple scribbles in the book drawn by Michael, implying that he enjoys drawing and is extremely talented at it. It’s implied in the book that Michael is an extremely hard worker who is desperate for cash in order to make ends meet, which is why it’s also stated that Michael desires to take a tropical vacation. Michael may or may not have a flair for business in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, as his choices are influenced by the player. It’s seen in the book that Michael has a very bad habit of chewing bubble gum, implying that he is a very anxious person who gets quite stressed at times, but to his credit, Michael states that he wants to get this habit under control, showing a need to better himself. He may also be annoyed by incompetence, as in the logbook, he shows frustration that he is the only one fazed by the unsettling occurrences in his job.
In his monologue during the Sister Location: Custom Night ending cutscene, Michael reveals that the main reason he applied for the job at Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental was because of his father’s request to find and free his little sister Elizabeth, who’s spirit has possessed the mascot animatronic of the facility, Circus Baby, implying that he was close to her before her death and has deeply missed her, as well as even being brave enough to go into a facility with murderous animatronics to rescue her. He also seemed happy when saying that Elizabeth was “free now”, further showing his affection for her. He speaks in a rather gentle, yet brooding tone of voice, in stark contrast to his father’s more sinister tone of speaking. Michael also shows sadness at the fact that he is now a monster unable of being seen in public, forcing him to hide in the shadows. Michael, like many people in the series, potentially seeks revenge against William for everything he had done, as he stated that the only purpose he had left in life is to “come find him”. This could mean that he wanted to kill him.
Mike Schmidt
Mike Schmidt is the playable protagonist and night guard in the original Five Nights at Freddy’s (2014) game. He works the night shift from 12 AM to 6 AM, managing power, doors, and lights to survive against the animatronics. Evidence suggests he is an alias for Michael Afton, the protagonist of several other series entries.

Oswald is the protagonist of Into the Pit, the first story from Fazbear Frights 1: Into the Pit, and its adaptations: the video game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, and the interactive novel Return to the Pit. He’s a young boy who, after many boring days in his dying town, decides to enter a strange ball pit that seemingly lets him travel in time, only to find himself fighting to save his father from an aggressive and mysterious Yellow Rabbit.

In Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, Vanny is shown to have a sadistic personality hidden behind a childlike flamboyance. This is shown through her casually and gleefully skipping after Gregory as he runs from her before running with arms outstretched if Gregory is too close. She also happily orders the S.T.A.F.F. Bots to disassemble Glamrock Freddy and constantly laughs as she is about to murder Gregory. Despite this, she is capable of showing fear, especially when her plans backfire. This is evident if Gregory makes the Staff Bots kill her the same way she did to Glamrock Freddy earlier.
As Vanessa, as shown by the e-mails, she has a very stereotypical feminine personality, showing an appreciation for fashion with her rainbow streak hair extensions. She also likes baking, having ordered cupcake cookbooks, and likes puppies, as she purportedly owns a glittery pink journal with pictures of them. However, Vanessa also appears to be very lonely. Luis mentioned that she once ordered chocolates for herself and pretended they were from her imaginary boyfriend, Brad. She is shown to take her job seriously, making an effort to find Gregory to keep him out of trouble and even threatens to have Glamrock Freddy scrapped if she finds out he is helping him cause any type of trouble. She also reveals that she knew Gregory’s name via hearing Freddy’s voice coming from the Fazwatch. She also claimed that all the other animatronics were aware of Gregory’s presence. She is also shown to be hot-tempered at times, as when she finally finds Gregory and takes him to the Lost and Found, she is seen admonishing Gregory for his actions before her face glitches into Vanny.
Through her therapy session recordings, we learn that Vanessa has struggled with severe anxiety, depression, and past trauma. Contrary to her in-game appearance, she seems despondent and has a self-critical attitude during therapy. Her low self-esteem makes her prone to manipulation, as her therapists suggest. Something traumatic happened to her, and as per her admission in the CD logs, she’s attempted to compartmentalize it as a coping mechanism.
Vanessa’s last name starts with an “A” and her abusive father is named Bill; this led to a speculation that her dad could be William Afton. It is also revealed in the tapes that her father was controlling and abusive towards her. Adding to this theory, Vanessa Shelly from the films is William Afton’s daughter and looks similar to this Vanessa, both being blonde women in their 20s.
William Afton
He was the co-founder and owner of Fazbear Entertainment and Afton Robotics, LLC, as well as a serial killer directly and indirectly responsible for most of the incidents and tragedies throughout the series, including being the culprit involved in The Missing Children Incident. Afton’s role in the series is pivotal, yet his legacy seems to be carried on by The Mimic (who may have also been Glitchtrap and Burntrap).
Ok, he appeared to be a pretty bad father to Michael Afton (Oldest), Crying Child Afton, Elizabeth Afton and possibly even Vanessa or Vanny (theory not proven yet). It appears that he didn’t start killing the children until after his son (Crying Child) was killed in the springlock incident. He might have blamed Henry Emily for killing his son, as he would have designed the springlock animatronic which killed him, and is the reason William murdered Charlotte in retribution. Anyway, after seeing Charlotte possess the Puppet/Marionette, he became facinated and obsessed with the thought of immortality through the animatronics. This resulted in the Missing Children incident and the 5 children possessing Freddy, Golden Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy.

He left Fazbear Inc. and began his own Circus Baby rental company. What was unknown to most, was that the animatronics were designed to lure children. His daughter Elizabeth Afton ignored him telling her not to play with Circus Baby and it resulted in her being killed and possessing the animatronic.
William eventually dismembers the originak animatonics, this time, the children fight back. William retreats to the Spring Bonnie suit, and the dangerous springlocks activate, killing him slowly (the same way that Cassidy died). But he knew he’d haunt the suit, just like the kids did. The Spring Bonnie suit stayed in the back room of the Pizzeria until it was found by the Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction owners.
